The Educational system of Nigeria.2016

Hello,
Going through a news paper about few days ago, I came across a message, saying that Nigerian's studying in other countries are coming back. That propelled me to write this article about our Educational standard. Now can someone tell me, for how many months now have the Imo State University (IMSU) being on strike. This University has been on strike for more than six months now.

As we are speaking its still on strike. Some of the student has gotten admission into other schools. Some are no longer interested in schooling. While others sit back at home, and sometimes egaging their self in unlawful act such as, stealing and others. So can you see how the strike affected the lifes of this students. The question is why is IMSU on strike. While I think the governor has done his part, now lectures don't want free education.

Our educational system has been brought to the feet of other countries. What an insult to our country, students running out of the country to get a better education. Now coming back home, because of our economy. I don't have to blame them.

Now I know that most of us have been asking question about our educational system in this country. On this article I will tell you why our educational system is like this. First, I must bring to notice that you have every right to live school, becuase of it's stressfulness. But of what importance is it, to waste the few years you have already spent.

In our country Nigeria it has been noticed that at the end each academic year, approzimate 1.8 million individuals are pushed into labour market, in search of work. And of all of them half a million might be successful. Other either get there self employed, pick up a dirty job or move into unlawful act, such as Armed robbery and Fraudulence.

Yes in school you do coureas you have notting to do with. But I challenge you to go to a bank and find out what most of the workers studied in the university. You will be surprise that a very good number of them are science students.

A Shell manage once came to a seminal and asked a question. The question was who can tell me what I studied in the university. Answers were coming from different angles, the manage was surprize that non of them mension art. Which was his area of study back in school. He made it know to us that he got a work in the Shell company because of the skills he possed, not by what he read. Because if it were to be what he read, he was main to be looking for news to broadcast, not sitting as a manager in Shell.

So my dear this is the more reason why they added some of those courses, yes we are not surpose to be doing it, but we are doing it, because of the present situation in our country. Art courses were added to Engineering departments. Because they believe you might one day, during the period of work frustration get opportunity to become a banker. So if did non of they art courses, that opportunity will usless to to you.

So my fellow students bare with our country. This is no longer the period of reading, reading and only reading. But a period which you have to take adventage of. A period of Enterprenuership, its better to start early. Linda Ikeji who is the best Nigerian blogger, is making a fortune with her blog.
